6-Fluoro-3-indoxyl-beta-D-galactopyranoside, also known as Rifapentine, is a highly effective antituberculosis drug from the class of rifamycins. It is specifically designed to combat tuberculosis infections by targeting the active compounds in Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains.
