Beschreibung:Soraprazan is a proton pump inhibitor that inhibits the production of stomach acid by blocking the hydrogen-potassium adenosine triphosphatase enzyme. It is used to treat conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Soraprazan has been shown to be effective in reducing gastric acidity in patients with Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. This drug is available in oral dosage forms and can also be administered intravitreal injection for the treatment of retinal diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy. Soraprazan is stable in cell culture and does not undergo chemical degradation.
