Beschreibung

Santonin is a bioactive phytochemical with anti-inflammatory and anthelmintic properties. It has been shown to inhibit the expression of inflammatory mediators, such as IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in human monocytic cells. Santonin also inhibits NF-κB binding activity in HL60 cells. This drug can be used as a model system for bowel disease research and has been found to have potential as a novel treatment for resistant breast cancer.
