Beschreibung

Scutellarein-7-O-glucoside is a bioactive phenolic compound found in plants. It has been shown to have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Scutellarein-7-O-glucoside has been shown to inhibit the growth of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and inhibit lipolysis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes, which may be due to its inhibition of fatty acid synthase activity. This compound also inhibits the enzyme activities of lipoxygenase, cyclooxygenase, and phospholipase A2. Scutellarein also inhibits the growth of human liver cancer cells (HepG2) by inhibiting nuclear dna synthesis. The bioactivity of this compound is due to its ability to form a covalent bond with the hydroxyl group on the scutellarin molecule, which can then react with a nucleophile such as an amine
