Beschreibung

Schaftoside is a natural drug that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. Schaftoside is a mixture of six different glycosides and is found in the roots of plants including "Schisandra chinensis" and "Rhodiola rosea". The chemical stability of schaftoside has been studied using matrix effect, surface methodology, and preparative HPLC. Schaftoside has shown a positive growth factor-β1 on adipose cells, which may be due to its ability to inhibit glucose uptake. Chemical analyses have revealed that schaftoside contains chlorogenic acids, which are responsible for its anti-diabetic properties.
