Beschreibung

(1S,2S)-2-Aminocyclopentanol, HCl is a chiral chemical that has been synthesized in racemic form. It has been shown to be an efficient biotransformation agent and a good deprotection agent for the synthesis of enantiopure compounds. The synthesis of (1S,2S)-2-aminocyclopentanol from the commercially available amino acid L-alanine was accomplished by chemoenzymatic methods. The product was purified by recrystallization from dichloromethane and afforded the desired compound as a white solid with a melting point of 50°C.
