Beschreibung

Sodium 2-{(1E)-N-[(3,5-Difluorophenyl)Carbamoyl]Ethanehydrazonoyl}Nicotinate is a glycol ether herbicide that inhibits the lipid biosynthesis in plants. It is used for the selective control of annual and perennial weeds on non-crop areas including roadsides, rights-of-ways, and fence lines. The active substances are transported through the plant to the site of action where they inhibit lipid biosynthesis by blocking carboxylase enzymes. This inhibits growth and causes death of the weed. Sodium 2-(1E)-N-[(3,5-difluorophenyl)carbamoyl]-ethanehydrazonoyl}nicotinate has been shown to be effective against broadleaf weeds such as common ragweed and wild oats, but not grasses such as corn or sorghum.
