4-(trifluoromethyl)piperidine is a piperidine derivative that is synthesized by hydrogenation reduction of 4-trifluoromethyl-1,2-diaminobenzene. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties in vivo, and has been found to be synthesizable in vitro. 4-(trifluoromethyl)piperidine has also been shown to be an orally active compound with dopamine D3 receptor activity.
