Beschreibung

1,1,3,3-Tetramethoxypropane is a polyunsaturated fatty acid. It is an organic chemical that contains four carbon atoms and three oxygen atoms. 1,1,3,3-Tetramethoxypropane has shown to be effective against cancer cells in laboratory studies. The mechanism of action is not known; however it has been hypothesized that the compound may act as a prodrug for other compounds. This product can also be used as a reagent in analytical methods, such as cationic polymerization and phosphotungstic acid. 1,1,3,3-Tetramethoxypropane can also be used to prepare samples for analysis by UV absorption or GC/MS techniques.
