This peptide is synthesized by the chemical reaction between butoxycarbonyl (Boc) Lys(Z)-Tyr(N)-Arg(R)-pNA and 2 equivalents of trifluoroacetic acid (TFA). The synthesis takes place in a homogenous solution in dichloromethane at room temperature in the presence of triethylamine as base. Filtration through a 0.22 μm filter removes any insoluble impurities from the solution.
