Beschreibung:
Trimethyl(2,3,4,5-tetramethyl-2,4-cyclopentadien-1-yl)silane is a colorless liquid that can be used to synthesize ferrocenyl silanes. This compound reacts with the cyclopentadiene and trimethyltin chloride in an addition reaction to give the desired product. Trimethyl(2,3,4,5-tetramethyl-2,4-cyclopentadien-1-yl)silane has been studied by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and found to have resonances at 3.7 ppm and 5.6 ppm.
