Beschreibung

Thymolphthalein monophosphate ammoniumsalt is a reagent that is used in clinical chemistry to measure the activity of acid phosphatase. It is a salt of thymolphthalein and ammonium. This compound has been shown to be stable at high temperatures, in water, and in organic solvents. Thymolphthalein monophosphate ammoniumsalt is used as a standard for the determination of prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP) activity. The diethanolamine salt can be prepared by dissolving 1 g of sodium salt in 100 ml of ethanolamine, followed by addition of 1 g of diethanolamine. The mixture is heated until the solution becomes clear and then cooled down to room temperature, yielding the desired product.
