Tbt-butylglycineHydrochloride is an analog of minocycline, which has been optimized for use in the synthesis of tigecycline. The synthetic process was improved by the addition of a tbt-butyl group to the side chain and optimization of the reaction conditions. This compound is more stable than minocycline, with a higher yield and specificity, which makes it suitable for industrial production.
