Beschreibung:
1,1,3-Trichloropropan-2-one is a solvent that is used in the production of pesticides and other chemicals. It is also used as a solvent for paint and varnish removers. This substance has been shown to cause genotoxic effects in mammalian cells and can increase the risk of cancer. 1,1,3-Trichloropropan-2-one has been shown to be clastogenic in ovary cells in vitro and can cause micronuclei formation. It also has an effect on the ovaries of mice. The toxic effects are increased with prolonged exposure.
