Beschreibung

Thymosin b4 acetate is a protein that can be used for chemoattraction. It has been shown to increase the motility and viability of cancer cells, which are vital for the recovery of tissue after ischemia-reperfusion injury. Thymosin b4 acetate has antiinflammatory activity and can be used in infectious diseases caused by bacteria or viruses. This protein also has an antimicrobial effect on Gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative bacteria such as Escherichia coli. Thymosin b4 acetate binds to actin and stimulates the production of proteins that regulate transcriptional regulation, cell signaling pathways, and gene expression. Benzalkonium chloride, an organic compound commonly found in soaps and detergents, inhibits the activity of thymosin b4 acetate.
