• Beschreibung: Thrombin Substrate II is a fluorescent probe that can be used to measure the fluidity of lipid bilayers. Thrombin Substrate II binds to phospholipids and bilayer fluidity is measured by monitoring the fluorescence intensity. Erythrocyte membranes are more rigid than plasma membranes, which are more rigid than microvesicles. This probe has shown to be useful in measuring the fluidity of erythrocyte and plasma membranes in biological samples. It has also been used as a marker for lipid content in human erythrocytes and other biological samples.
