Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabivarinic acid (THCA) is a cannabinoid found in the cannabis plant. It is one of the many cannabinoids that are present in the plant. THCA does not have any psychoactive properties and therefore does not produce a "high" when consumed. The isolation of this compound can be done by using analytical methods such as gas chromatography or mass spectrometry. These methods can also be used to identify the presence of other cannabinoids, as well as their concentrations, within the sample.
