Tachysterol is a vitamin that is naturally found in skin cells. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria, such as those that cause infectious diseases, by inhibiting fatty acid synthesis. Tachysterol also promotes root formation. This effect may be due to its ability to absorb ultraviolet light and convert it into energy for cell growth.
