Beschreibung:4-Tetrahydropyranyloxy-butanal is a lepidopteran pheromone that can be found in the antheraea species of moth. It is a vinylic compound that has thermodynamic stability, stereochemical purity, and kinetic stability. 4-Tetrahydropyranyloxy-butanal is used in stepwise synthesis to produce other compounds. This molecule can be acetylated to produce 4-acetoxy-tetrahydropyranyloxy-butanal, which has been shown to have insecticidal properties. 4-Tetrahydropyranyloxy-butanal is also used as a precursor for antheraea laticlavia pheromones.
