• Beschreibung: Triparanol is a cholesterol-lowering agent that inhibits the synthesis of cholesterol by blocking the enzyme 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase. It also has cytostatic and anti-cancer activities, with a marked effect on experimental animals. Triparanol has been shown to be toxic to the bowel and can cause bowel disease in humans.
