Beschreibung

3-(3-Trifluoromethylphenyl)propionic acid is an organic solvent that is used in the production of polymers. It is a colorless liquid with a mild, sweet odor. The method of preparation is by the reaction of 3-trifluoromethylaniline and propionic acid. The product has been shown to be efficient for the production of polymers and can be used as a cocatalyst in trifluoroacetic acid. It has been found to contain impurities such as chloride, aluminium, and zirconium.
