Beschreibung

Tris-(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl)phosphite is a chemical with high stability that is used as an antioxidant. It has been shown to be useful in the preparation of fatty acid methyl esters for analysis. Tris-(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl)phosphite protects against lipid peroxidation and has been shown to inhibit the mitochondrial membrane potential in rat liver cells. This compound also has antioxidant properties and can be used to study glucose metabolism. Tris-(2,4-di-tert-butylphenyl)phosphite is not toxic to animals or humans, and it does not react with water vapor or other chemicals. It is usually added to samples before analysis by analytical chemistry techniques.
