Produktinformation
Tripropylene glycol diacrylate is a reactive monomer that is used to make polymers. It can be used in wastewater treatment and has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria. Tripropylene glycol diacrylate inhibits bacterial growth by reacting with ethylene diamine and water vapor to form an acrylate ester. This ester reacts with p-hydroxybenzoic acid, which is toxic to bacteria. The hydroxyl group in the tripropylene glycol diacrylate reacts with fatty acids, forming a polymer that coats the bacterial cell membrane and prevents the entry of nutrients (e.g., glucose) into the cell.
