Beschreibung:
N-(2,2,2-Trichloroethoxycarbonyloxy)succinimide is a reagent for use in the preparation of amino groups. It is soluble in many organic solvents and can be recrystallized from dioxane. The compound has been used as a solvent for the synthesis of succinimidyl esters and as an agent to remove alcohols from organic compounds. N-(2,2,2-Trichloroethoxycarbonyloxy)succinimide is soluble in water and reacts with carbonic acid to form carbon dioxide.
