• Beschreibung: Tergitol-4 is a cationic surfactant with long-term efficacy. It has been shown to stabilize the membrane of erythrocytes and other cells, which can lead to the elimination of inflammatory lesions. Tergitol-4 is used in sclerotherapy, a process in which liquid is injected into an abnormal blood vessel, causing it to shrink and close off. The high resistance of this product makes it suitable for use in active antiretroviral therapy for patients with HIV who are at risk for developing congestive heart disease. Tergitol-4 has also been used clinically as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) enhancer and as a laser ablation agent that breaks down excess tissue without damaging healthy cells. Tergitol-4 is derived from tetradecyl alcohol and has minimal toxicity when administered orally. It is also plant science compatible due to its sulfate content.
