Beschreibung

L-1,2,3,4-Tetrahydronorharman-3-carboxylic acid is a potent antitumor agent that has been shown to be clinically relevant in cancer treatment. It binds to calcium and prevents it from binding to proteins. L-1,2,3,4-Tetrahydronorharman-3-carboxylic acid is metabolized by monoamine oxidase B (MAO-B) and catechol O methyltransferase (COMT), which are enzymes in the brain. The drug also blocks the epidermal growth factor receptor pathway and induces apoptosis protein expression. L-1,2,3,4-Tetrahydronorharman-3-carboxylic acid was detected at low concentrations in renal cell cancer tissue by immunohistochemical analysis. The drug can be used as a marker for renal cell cancer diagnosis and detection sensitivity.
