1H,1H-Tridecafluoro-1-heptanol is a perfluorinated liquid with a boiling point of 118.5°C. It has been shown to be a good surfactant for the synthesis of polymers and inorganic materials. 1H,1H-Tridecafluoro-1-heptanol has also been used in cancer diagnosis and treatment, as well as in simulations of human tissue. 1H,1H-Tridecafluoro-1-heptanol is hydrophobic and has properties that are similar to those of perfluorocarbons (PFCs). The molecule is able to bind to cancerous cells through its hydrophobic property and can be used to diagnose cancer. The ring opening of 1H,1H-Tridecafluoro-1-heptanol can be used for the diagnosis of cancer because it produces an intense fluorescence when reacted
