Beschreibung

Trimethyl-4-(6-phenyl-1,3,5-hexatrien-1-yl)phenylammonium p-toluenesulfonate (TmaDph) is a sodium salt. It has been shown to accumulate in cells that contain high levels of fatty acids, such as adipocytes and hepatocytes. TmaDph is a fluorescent probe that can be used for monitoring intracellular calcium concentration changes. The fluorescence intensity of TmaDph increases with increasing concentrations of calcium ions. This probe has been shown to be effective in monitoring mitochondrial membrane potential and Ca2+ response in human serum. TmaDph can also be used as an indicator for the activity of enzymes such as adenosine deaminase and glycerophosphate oxidase.
