Beschreibung

4-(Trifluoromethyl)pyridine (4-TFMP) is a hydrophilic additive that can be used in the synthesis of quinoline carboxylic acid, a nerve modifier and nucleophilic. 4-TFMP has been shown to boost the solubility of iodomethane and increase the rate of reaction with iodomethane. 4-TFMP has also been shown to have synergistic effects when used with perovskite, which is an emerging material for solar cells. The commercialization of 4-TFMP as a solvent for organic reactions is hampered by its high cost.
