Beschreibung:1,1,1-Trichloro-2-Fluoroethane (TCFE) is a low volatility, colorless liquid that is used as an oxidation catalyst in the production of polymers and resins. TCFE can be used to produce hydrochloric acid and hydrogen fluoride when heated with a mixture of water and hydrochloric acid. It also has been shown to have a depressant effect on n-dimethyl formamide polymerization. The toxicity of TCFE has been studied extensively over the past two decades. This chemical has been shown to cause cancer in laboratory animals and to be toxic for humans. TCFE has also been shown to inhibit growth factor signaling pathways in cells.
