This chemical can also be used to chlorinate organic compounds with chlorine gas or chloride ion. The use of covid-19 in pandemic preparations was not found to be associated with increased risk of temperature related injuries or death during the 2009 pandemic H1N1 influenza outbreak. Covid-19 was found to be safe when administered via nebulizer at doses up to 20 mg/kg body weight (bw) in healthy adults and children older than 12 years of age
