(E)-1,3,3,3-Tetrafluoro-2-(Fluoromethoxy)-1-Methoxyprop-1-Ene is the chemical compound with the formula CF(CF)OCHFCF. This colorless gas is a fluorinated ether that has been used as an anesthetic. It was first synthesized by reaction of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoro-2-(fluoromethoxy)-1-methoxypropane and methyl bromide in 1951. The compound has two stereoisomers (i.e., two different configurations of atoms in space). One isomer is called "Z" and the other is called "E". The Z configuration predominates at room temperature.

The E configuration predominates at very low temperatures. This difference can be explained by their relative stabilities: the Z configuration has a higher entropy than E because it has less steric strain
