Beschreibung:
2,4,6-Trimethyl-N-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-benzenesulfonamide is a compound that acts as a calcium channel blocker. It has been shown to have therapeutic effects in treating infectious diseases such as malaria and HIV. This drug binds to the receptor activity of intracellular calcium to inhibit the release of diacylglycerol and therefore inhibit axonal growth. It also inhibits p2y receptors. 2,4,6-Trimethyl-N-[3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-benzenesulfonamide has been shown to stimulate neurotrophic factors in the brain and increase myocardial infarct size in rats with myocardial infarcts.
