Urea-13C,15N2 is a stable isotope labeled urea that is used for metabolic studies in humans. It can be used to measure the rate of protein synthesis in human serum and to monitor the activity of enzymes involved in nitrogen metabolism. Urea-13C,15N2 can also be used to measure the rate of urea synthesis in human serum. The recovery of the 13C,15N2 label was found to be 100% when diluted 1:10 with acetonitrile.
