Beschreibung

Urea sulphate is a salt of urea and sulfuric acid. It is used as a fertilizer and as a source of nitrogen for plant growth. Urea is produced in the body when amino acids are broken down in the liver, and it is also present in many foods. Urea is an essential component in the chemical reaction that synthesizes ethylene diamine, which is used to produce polyurethane plastics. The solanum tuberosum (potato) contains about 12% urea by weight, making it one of the richest sources of this substance.
Urea sulphate can be prepared by reacting hydrochloric acid with ammonia. The reaction mechanism involves hydrogen bonding between hydroxyl groups on ammonia molecules and chlorine atoms on hydrochloric acid molecules to form ammonium chloride and water molecules, respectively. The product is then heated to remove excess water and cooled to create urea sulphate crystals.
