C.I. Vat Orange 9 is an inorganic acid with a molecular weight of 208.14 g/mol. It is used as a dye and optical sensor to detect the pH of detergent compositions. C.I. Vat Orange 9 can be synthesized by acylation reaction between glycol ethers and fatty acids or alkynes in the presence of an acidic catalyst, such as sodium carbonate or redox potential such as hydroxy groups or nitrogen atoms. The structure of C.I. Vat Orange 9 includes a carbonyl group, which can react with hydroxyl groups to form ester bonds, leading to polymerization initiator formation and the formation of polymers during synthesis process.
C.I. Vat Orange 9 has been studied microscopically for its ability to form polymers on contact with water and sodium carbonate solution, which can be used in detergent compositions for cleaning purposes.br>br>
