• Beschreibung: 7-Xylosyltaxol is a monoclonal antibody that binds to the 10-deacetylated form of taxol (10-DA). 7-Xylosyltaxol is expressed in plant cells, and can be extracted from plant tissue cultures. The antibody has been shown to inhibit the growth of tumor xenografts in mice. It is also an immunological reagent for the detection of 10-DA in biological samples such as serum, urine, and tissues. The antibody has been used in a surface methodology to measure the amount of 10-DA on the surface of cells grown on tissue culture plates. This method is based on a technique called surface plasmon resonance (SPR) that measures changes in protein conformation.
