Zirconium n-propoxide solution is a zirconium oxide, which is a high-temperature resistant material that has been shown to have excellent mechanical properties. It can be produced by a process of hydrolysis and condensation of zirconium tetrachloride in the presence of n-propyl alcohol. This product can be used as an additive in glycol esters, polysiloxanes, fatty acids, and other materials to improve their viscosity and chemical stability. Zirconium n-propoxide solution also has biocidal properties and can be used as a component in coatings for medical devices or other items that are in contact with biological fluids. The phase transition temperature of zirconium n-propoxide solution is about 385°C. The melting point is at 661°C, with an enthalpy change at this point of -3200 J/g. Zirconium n-propoxide solution
