Beschreibung:Zibotentan is a drug that belongs to the class of endothelin receptor antagonists. It blocks the binding of endothelin-1 to its receptor and inhibits the activation of proinflammatory pathways in the body. Zibotentan is used for the treatment of cancer, autoimmune diseases, and other conditions where there is an inflammatory response. The drug has been shown to be effective in vivo in a rat model for liver impairment. In vitro assays showed zibotentan as having cytotoxic effects against carcinoma cell lines at low doses. Zibotentan also showed efficacy in vitro against resistant mutants.
