• Beschreibung: Zinpyr-1 is a compound that has been shown to inhibit bacterial translocation in the gut. It binds to fatty acids and prevents the movement of bacteria from the gastrointestinal tract into other tissues. This compound also inhibits light-induced damage to physiological function by preventing the production of reactive oxygen species, which are formed in response to light exposure. Zinpyr-1 has been shown to have photochemical properties and is effective against bacteria such as E. coli and S. typhimurium when exposed to visible light (400–800 nm). It affects cellular organelles, such as mitochondria, by binding to their membranes. Zinpyr-1 has also been shown to inhibit the uptake of nitrogen atoms by human serum, skin cells, and THP-1 cells in vitro following incubation with zinpyr-1 for 24 hours.
