Beschreibung:
Zeolite 3A is a porous mineral that has a structure of small cavities, or pores. It is used as an adsorbent to remove toxic chemicals and heavy metals from water. Zeolite 3A can be activated by heating at high temperatures in the presence of air, which creates larger pores on the surface and increases its adsorption capacity. Zeolite 3A has been shown to have a Langmuir adsorption isotherm with a maximum adsorption capacity of 10-20%. The hydroxyl groups on zeolites are known to form hydrogen bonding interactions with water vapor molecules, which may account for its ability to remove water vapor from the atmosphere. Zeolite 3A also has been shown to be an effective catalyst for oxidation reactions due to its strong chemical stability.
