Beschreibung:3-Bromoacrylic acid is a chemical that is used for debromination of the antidiabetic drug alloxan. It is also used as an intermediate in the synthesis of a number of pharmaceuticals, including antifungal drugs, and in the manufacture of dyestuffs. 3-Bromoacrylic acid has been shown to be effective in controlling diabetes and lowering blood sugar levels in animals by preventing the release of glucose from the liver and stimulating insulin secretion. This chemical also has anti-inflammatory properties that may be due to its inhibitory effect on prostaglandin synthesis. As a result, 3-bromoacrylic acid has been shown to have beneficial effects on chronic inflammatory diseases such as arthritis.
