Disperse Yellow 9 is a polymer film that is used in the preparation of analytical samples for analysis. It absorbs electromagnetic radiation and has been used as an absorber in laboratory processes such as sample preparation, dispersive solid-phase extraction, and reactive extraction. Disperse Yellow 9 has also been found to have low energy reactivity with human serum proteins and red blood cells.
