Beschreibung

3-(N,N-Diethylamino)acetanilide is an antibacterial agent that belongs to the group of quinacrine. It is a diazonium salt that can be prepared by the reaction between diethylamine and acetanilide. 3-(N,N-Diethylamino)acetanilide can also be prepared by reacting sodium hydroxide solution with a solution of quinacrine in an organic solvent such as benzene or dichloromethane. This product is acidic, soluble in water and organic solvents, and has functional theory properties. 3-(N,N-Diethylamino)acetanilide is used for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by subtilis or staphylococcus.
