Beschreibung

Diethyl 2-(2-phenylethyl)malonate is a monosubstituted, long-acting, deuterium-labeled inhibitor of matrix metalloproteases. Diethyl 2-(2-phenylethyl)malonate binds to the active site of the matrix metalloprotease and prevents it from degrading tissue components. This inhibitor has been shown to be effective in animal models against colitis and pulmonary fibrosis.
