GW4869 exhibits biochemical properties such as polymerase chain reaction inhibition, DNA binding activity, and protein synthesis inhibition. In vitro assays have shown its ability to bind to dna and gw4869 has been shown to reduce leukemia cell viability in mice with bone marrow transplants.
