Beschreibung:Sodium glucoheptonate is a heptapeptide that acts as a receptor activator. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells by blocking the production of fatty acids and glycol ethers. Sodium glucoheptonate also inhibits the production of epidermal growth factor (EGF) in human breast cancer cells and may be used for the treatment of EGF-dependent tumors. Sodium glucoheptonate has been shown to have cardioprotective effects, as it can reduce myocardial infarct size and improve cardiac function following myocardial infarction. This drug also has detergent activity and can be used in detergent compositions for cleaning purposes.
