Beschreibung

Pinusolide is a natural compound that has been identified as the major active constituent of the essential oil from Pinus elliottii, a species of pine tree. It exhibits a variety of biological activities including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Pinusolide also has insulin-like effects on glucose metabolism in cells, which may be related to its ability to activate mitochondrial-mediated apoptosis via receptor binding to an unsaturated alkyl moiety.
