Gamitrinib blocks mitochondrial functions by binding to the mitochondrial DNA. This drug also has synergistic effects with other cancer drugs, such as temozolomide. Gamitrinib is a competitive inhibitor of ryanodine receptor and blocks mitochondrial membrane potential, leading to cell death.
