2,2,5,5-Tetramethyl-1-aza-2,5-disilacyclopentane (TMDS) is a molecular structure that crystallizes in orthorhombic or triclinic space groups. It has been shown to crystallize with trimethylaluminium as a solvent and heptane as a co-solvent. TMDS is also planar with intensities of the parameters of the molecular structure varying with temperature. Crystalline products can be obtained by heating TMDS under vacuum at high temperatures.
